Youth-led 4th of July event was a success!

On the 3rd of July, we had a group of youth volunteers lead the kids zone area of the El Dorado Hills Town Center's Freedom Concert and Firework Show.  This group rallied together to create a successful area of bounce houses, cotton candy and light up toys.  

Deven Thorne, recent Ponderosa High School graduate and CEO of the youth-formed organization, Scare4Hope explains, "In working with Town Center and Hands4Hope to set up the Kids Zone area, I learned the importance of communication and collaboration.  I got to see how great all of Hands4Hope's volunteers are!  It was a group of people volunteering for their community and making freinds along the way; and that was increadible to see!"

This event helped raise $5,000!  The proceeds will go towards the youth-driven Haunted House fundraising project as well as our service learning programs.
